Description: | Tamm plasmons and their applications M. A. Kaliteevski Academic University and Ioffe Institute, St. Petersburg, Russia 28 September 2012, 16:00 Department of Physics Bldg., Voutes, 3rd floor Seminar Room Abstract: Tamm plasmons are the state of electromagnetic field localized at the interface between Bragg reflector and metals. Resonant interaction of Tamm plasmons and,A (B and exciton polaritons can be used for lateral localization of polaritons, which open the way for realization of polaritonic integrated circuits. Another promising application of Tamm plasmon is optoelctronic devices: low absorption of light is an interesting intrinsic property of Tamm plasmons. [1] M. Kaliteevski, I. Iorsh, S.
