- FORTH organizes a symposium to honor the memory of Fotis Kafatos

To keep the memory of Fotis Kafatos alive IMBB has decided to initiate a series of scientific symposia in his name. Each meeting will focus on a specific subject area and internationally renowned scientists, leaders in their fields, will be invited to present their work.The first meeting will focus on the interaction between mosquitoes and disease, the subject that Fotis Kafatos worked on in the more recent years.
This year’s speakers are Dr. Carolina Barillas-Mury (NIAID, NIH), Prof. Nora Besansky (University of Notre Dame), Prof. George Christophides (Imperial College London), Prof. George Dimopoulos (Johns Hopkins University), Prof. Tony James (UCI and UCSD), Dr. Lena Levashina (Max Plank Institute Berlin) and Prof. Petros Ligoxygakis (University of Oxford).
Attendance is free.
